Sopore, 08 Feb:- Haji Abdul Qayoom Kawa was on Sunday elected unopposed (bina muqabla) as the new President of the Awqaf Committee Naseer Abad Sopore, marking a moment of unity and consensus within the local religious body.
The election process concluded smoothly, with Awqaf committee members unanimously endorsing Haji Abdul Qayoom Kawa for the post. Members expressed confidence in his leadership, experience, and commitment to the welfare of the Auqaf institutions and the larger community. Auqaf members welcomed the new President and assured him of their full cooperation in carrying forward developmental, religious, and welfare-related initiatives in the area.
After assuming charge, Haji Abdul Qayoom Kawa expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all Auquf committee members for reposing faith in him. He said the responsibility entrusted to him would be fulfilled with honesty, transparency, and dedication, and promised to work collectively with all members for the better management of Auquf affairs and the service of the people of Naseer Abad.
