Project Scheduled for Completion Ahead of Ramadan
Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sopore Constituency, Irshad Rasool Kar, has announced a significant infrastructure upgrade for Sopore town the installation and activation of 1,085 auto-sensing LED street lights across all 21 municipal wards. The project is slated for completion before the onset of Ramadan.
MLA Kar confirmed that all lights will be made operational prior to Ramadan. Additionally, beginning next fiscal year, a dedicated annual budget will be allocated for the maintenance and repair of the town’s street lighting network to ensure its sustained functionality.
“My priority has always been substantive development that delivers tangible relief and improves the quality of life for our citizens,” stated Kar. “There will be no compromise in achieving this objective.”
He emphasized that his commitment extends beyond this initiative. “This street lighting project is one part of a broader effort. My focus remains on ensuring that every development scheme reaches its full potential and serves the public effectively,” the MLA added.
