Anantnag, Nov 3: A black bear that had been roaming in the Ujroo area of Dooru was captured alive by the Wildlife Department on Monday, officials said.
An official said that after receiving information about the animal’s movement in the area, the Wildlife Control Room Dooru promptly installed a cage and successfully trapped the bear without causing any harm. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Gulzar Ahmad Shah, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, and Adil Ahmad Naik, along with their dedicated team.
Officials added that the captured bear was later released safely into its natural habitat, ensuring both public safety and animal welfare.
