Srinagar, July 06: Weather expert Faizan Arif from Kashmir Weather has said that there is no need to extend the summer break, as temperatures are expected to gradually decrease starting tomorrow and remain comfortable for at least a week. He added that on some days, temperatures may even dip below normal levels.

He also mentioned that while the humidity will continue until August or September due to the ongoing monsoon, overall weather conditions are expected to improve.

“Forecast models are in strong agreement and show high confidence that temperatures will ease. We can’t expect July to feel like April or October — temperatures around 31-32°C are normal for this time of year,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a flash flood warning and expects rain and thunderstorms in Jammu & Kashmir from tomorrow, with the possibility of landslides and shooting stones in vulnerable areas.
