Anantnag, February 10:In a significant breakthrough, Anantnag Police has successfully solved the case involving the hit-and-run accident that occurred on KP Road, Anantnag. The incident took place when a young girl, Zainab Jan, aged 17 years, daughter of Mohd Yaseen Bhat, a resident of Sarnal, Anantnag, was struck by a bike being ridden dangerously. The rider of the motorcycle fled the scene immediately after the accident.
Upon receiving the complaint, Anantnag Police promptly registered the case under FIR No. 26/2025 at Police Station Anantnag. The investigation was initiated with full commitment to ensuring justice for the victim.
Through diligent investigative work, Anantnag Police arrested the accused, Fida Shafi Mawafarosh, son of Mohd Shafi Mawafarosh, a resident of Sarnal, Anantnag. The accused has been taken into custody.
