Srinagar, June 27:A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Accounts Employees Association (JKAEA) met with the Director General of Accounts & Treasuries (DGA&T) today and presented a copy of the resolution and dissolution passed by the former office bearers of the association during their meeting held on June 23, 2025.
During the meeting, the delegation formally introduced the newly constituted Advisory Body, chaired by Sh. G.N. Tantray, which was formed to oversee the association’s affairs and formulate modalities for conducting fresh elections in a free, fair, and transparent manner in the near future.
The discussions were centered on cadre-specific concerns and emphasized the importance of unity within the association. Key issues affecting the cadre were raised, and the DGA&T appeared highly optimistic and practical in his approach. He assured the delegation that these matters would be taken up promptly with the relevant authorities for early resolution.
The meeting was seen as a positive step toward strengthening the internal framework of the association and addressing the pressing concerns of its members.
