Srinagar, July 23 (KNO): A security high alert has been issued in Kashmir following the killing of a policeman in a terror attack in Anantnag\u2019s Lal Chowk area on Wednesday afternoon, sources said.<\/p>\n
Sources told news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that security across Kashmir has been put on a high alert, with forces intensifying surveillance, strengthening checkpoints and launching search operations.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in a post on X, Srinagar CRPF Sector also said security across Kashmir has been placed on high alert following the terrorist attack in Anantnag.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecurity forces have intensified surveillance, strengthened checkpoints and launched search operations to maintain law and order. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n

As reported earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a high-level meeting to review security situation and Amarnath Yatra at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar today.<\/p>\n
