Budgam, June 12, KNT: A driver was killed and two students were injured after a school bus belonging to IPTS School, Khansahib, skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Neego Brenwar area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.<\/p>\n

The deceased has been identified as Shahid Ahmad Lone, son of Zahoor Ahmad Lone, a resident of Kechwari, Khansahib. Officials said the driver died on the spot after the bus met with the accident.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The incident occurred when the school bus reportedly lost control and veered off the road before falling into a gorge, triggering a rescue operation by locals and authorities.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Two students, identified as Tanzil-ul-Islam and Illaf Ahmad, both residents of Raiyar, Khansahib, sustained injuries in the accident.<\/p>\n

The injured students were initially shifted to Community Health Centre Surasyar and later referred to Sub-District Hospital Chadoora. Owing to the nature of their injuries, both were subsequently shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment.<\/p>\n
