{"id":94668,"date":"2026-04-14T22:30:05","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T17:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/?p=94668"},"modified":"2026-04-14T22:30:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T17:00:05","slug":"igp-kashmir-warns-of-swift-action-against-drug-peddlers-urges-youth-to-stay-away-from-drugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/14\/igp-kashmir-warns-of-swift-action-against-drug-peddlers-urges-youth-to-stay-away-from-drugs\/","title":{"rendered":"IGP Kashmir warns of swift action against drug peddlers, urges youth to stay away from drugs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Says J&amp;K police to intensify \u2018Mission Mode\u2019 anti-drug drive; extends Baisakhi greetings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, Apr 14 (KNO): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir VK Birdi on Tuesday said that Jammu and Kashmir Police will further intensify its anti-drug campaign and ensure strict legal action against drug peddlers and traffickers in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here, IGP Birdi as per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the police have always been in mission mode against drugs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the coming days, our action will be more swift so that legal recourse is taken against drug peddlers, smugglers and those involved in drug trafficking,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He said that youth are the future of the country and should remain disciplined and stay away from drugs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The IGP also extended greetings to the Sikh community, stating that he visited the Gurudwara on the invitation of the management on the auspicious occasion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the holy day and also the creation day of Khalsa Panth.
