Srinagar, Mar 12: State President , Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Vivek Bali on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on Farooq Abdullah and expressed relief that the senior leader remained safe.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued here, Bali said the incident was deeply disturbing and called for a thorough investigation into the matter. He stressed that the security of senior political leaders must be ensured and that any lapse in this regard should be taken seriously.<\/p>\n

\u201cStrongly condemn the attack on Dr Farooq Abdullah Sahib. I am relieved that he is safe. Police must investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure his security and safety so that such incidents do not happen again. I wish him good health and safety,\u201d Bali said.<\/p>\n

He further expressed hope that the authorities would get to the bottom of what he described as a very disturbing security lapse. Bali urged the police to uncover the truth behind the incident and take appropriate measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.<\/p>\n

Reiterating his party\u2019s stand, Bali said the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party firmly believes in peace and democratic values and stands strongly against violence in any form.<\/p>\n
