Srinagar, Mar 07: Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Nalin Prabhat, chaired a comprehensive review meeting on Saturday to assess the overall security scenario, counter-terror (CT) operations and law & order situation in Police District Awantipora.<\/p>\n
The DGP stressed the need to intensify the drive against anti-national elements, drugs and crime, directing officers to take strict and effective action against those involved in unlawful activities.<\/p>\n
The meeting was held at the District Police Office Awantipora and was attended by senior officers including Special DG Coordination PHQ J&K S.J.M. Gillani, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone V.K. Birdi, DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo, SSP Awantipora, Addl. SP Awantipora, all SDPOs and DySPs of SOG.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the DGP reviewed the prevailing security situation with special focus on ongoing counter-terror operations, including both kinetic and non-kinetic measures. He also took stock of the steps being taken to curb drug abuse and other criminal activities in the district.<\/p>\n
He further emphasized strong coordination among security agencies, intelligence-based operations and proactive policing to ensure peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n
