Srinagar, Mar 02 (KNC): The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has ordered a series of transfers and postings in the Prisons Department with immediate effect.<\/p>\n

According to Government Order No. 145-Home of 2026 dated March 02, 2026, issued by the Home Department, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Sheikh Zulfkar Azad, presently posted as Superintendent Central Jail Srinagar, has been repatriated to his parent department, J&K Police.<\/p>\n

The order further states that three police officers have been deputed to the J&K Prisons Department. Ch. Iftikhar Ahmed has been posted as Superintendent Jail, District Jail Poonch; Rayaz Iqbal Tantray as Superintendent Jail, District Jail Anantnag; and Aejaz Ahmad Malik as Superintendent Jail, Special Jail Pulwama.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ms. Saba Shawl has been transferred and posted as Superintendent Jail, Central Jail Srinagar, while Mushtaq Ahmad Malla has been posted as Staff Officer to DGP, Prisons, J&K. Additionally, Sunil Kumar, DySP, has been posted as Superintendent Jail, District Jail Kishtwar.<\/p>\n
