An official told the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that vehicular movement between Jammu and Srinagar was halted after snow accumulation rendered the highway unsafe for travel.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to NH-44, the Mughal Road, Srinagar\u2013Sonamarg\u2013Gumri (SSG) Road, and Sinthan Road were also closed due to fresh snowfall.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Traffic authorities have advised commuters to avoid travel on the affected routes until snow clearance operations are completed and the roads are declared safe. They also urged the public not to pay heed to rumours and to verify the latest road status through official Traffic Police channels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, at least 17 flights to and from Srinagar Airport were cancelled due to ongoing snowfall and adverse weather conditions, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Airport authorities reported that more cancellations were likely as snowfall continued to disrupt flight operations.
