Anantnag, Jan 02 (KNO): The authorities in Anantnag district have banned trekking, camping, hiking and other similar outdoor activities in\u00a0 Margan Top, Chauhar Nag and Sinthan Top areas, citing security and public safety concerns.<\/p>\n

According to an order, a copy of which lies with news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kokernag said that inputs from police and security agencies indicated security vulnerabilities in certain high-altitude and forested areas falling under Sub-Division Kokernag.<\/p>\n

He also mention the recent incidents in which some individuals attempted to cross police check-points during late night hours, raising serious safety concerns.<\/p>\n

He said that unrestricted movement and outdoor activities in these sensitive areas could adversely affect public safety and security. The order will remain valid for two months unless withdrawn or extended.<\/p>\n
