Srinagar, Dec 17 (KNC): The cold wave conditions continued across Jammu and Kashmir as several places in the Kashmir Valley recorded sub-zero minimum temperatures, while high-altitude areas witnessed severe cold during the intervening night.<\/p>\n

According to the data compiled by Kashmir Weather as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of \u20131.6\u00b0C, while Qazigund settled at \u20133.0\u00b0C and Pahalgam at \u20132.8\u00b0C. Pampore, Anantnag, Pulwama and Shopian remained among the coldest places in the Valley, with temperatures dropping to \u20134.0\u00b0C, \u20134.2\u00b0C, \u20134.4\u00b0C and \u20134.4\u00b0C respectively.<\/p>\n

Gulmarg recorded a minimum of 1.6\u00b0C, while Kupwara and Bandipora settled at \u20132.2\u00b0C each. Srinagar Airport recorded \u20132.6\u00b0C, Awantipora \u20133.2\u00b0C and Baramulla \u20133.5\u00b0C. Sonamarg recorded 0.6\u00b0C, whereas Zojila Pass witnessed extreme cold at \u201316.0\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

In the Jammu region, relatively milder conditions prevailed with Jammu city recording a minimum of 9.0\u00b0C, followed by Katra at 11.1\u00b0C and Kathua at 8.2\u00b0C. Banihal and Bhaderwah recorded 3.4\u00b0C each, while Udhampur settled at 3.3\u00b0C. Rajouri was the coldest in the region at 1.8\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in Ladakh, Leh recorded a minimum temperature of \u20136.3\u00b0C, Kargil \u20135.8\u00b0C and Nubra Valley \u20135.0\u00b0C, indicating continued freezing conditions across the region.<\/p>\n
