{"id":92713,"date":"2025-12-07T21:17:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T15:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/?p=92713"},"modified":"2025-12-07T21:17:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T15:47:14","slug":"bros-125-strategically-significant-infrastructure-projects-dedicated-to-nation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/07\/bros-125-strategically-significant-infrastructure-projects-dedicated-to-nation\/","title":{"rendered":"BRO\u2019s 125 strategically significant infrastructure projects dedicated to Nation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New infra projects reflects Central Govt\u2019s firm commitment to Ladakh\u2019s progress: LG Kavinder<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LEH, December 7: Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh ji today dedicated to the nation 125 strategically significant infrastructure projects of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) \u2013 the most to have ever been inaugurated simultaneously \u2013 from Ladakh.<\/p>\n<p>Spread across 2 Union Territories \u2013 Ladakh and Jammu &amp; Kashmir \u2013 and 7 States \u2013 Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, West Bengal &amp; Mizoram, these projects \u2013 28 Roads, 93 Bridges and 04 Miscellaneous \u2013 have been completed at a cost of approx. Rs 5,000 crore, the highest-value inaugurations in the BRO\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>These upgraded infrastructure projects will significantly improve last-mile connectivity to remote villages and forward military locations, bringing these areas closer to the national mainstream.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, Shri Kavinder Gupta, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, today lauded the nationwide inauguration of 125 major infrastructure projects, including 41 projects completed in Ladakh, calling it a historic milestone in the region\u2019s development. He expressed gratitude to the Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Hon\u2019ble Defence Minister for prioritising the rapid and balanced growth of Ladakh.<\/p>\n<p>The Lt Governor praised the Defence Minister\u2019s leadership, noting his pivotal role in strengthening border infrastructure, enhancing troop welfare, and boosting the morale of India\u2019s security forces. He said the new projects will significantly improve connectivity, accelerate economic activity, and ensure reliable access to border areas that were earlier cut off for months.<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging the Border Roads Organisation\u2019s exceptional work in extreme conditions, the LG highlighted key achievements including the Cut &amp; Cover Tunnel on the DS\u2013DBO Road, ensuring all-weather connectivity; the world\u2019s highest multi-span Sosar Brangsa Bridge; the Nimo\u2013Padam\u2013Darcha Road, offering Ladakh its third and shortest route; and the operationalisation of the high-altitude Mudh\u2013Nyoma Airfield, a strategic asset for national security. He noted that BRO\u2019s projects have also boosted tourism, with routes such as Mahe\u2013Chushul and Mahe\u2013Debring improving access to Pangong, Chushul, and Tso Moriri, thereby supporting adventure and eco-tourism.<\/p>\n<p>Calling Ladakh a symbol of India\u2019s spirit and beauty, the LG urged citizens across the country to visit Ladakh at least once to experience its natural grandeur, cultural purity, and inspiring border heritage\u2014now more accessible than ever due to BRO\u2019s network of world-class roads.<\/p>\n<p>The Lt Governor praised the courage displayed during Operation Sindoor, stating that the operation reaffirmed India\u2019s resolve to protect its sovereignty and national interests.
