Except for a few weak disturbances, we do not expect any significant snowfall activity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The MeT Director also shared insights on the ongoing La Ni\u00f1a phase, which continues to influence global and regional weather patterns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa Ni\u00f1a is still in its active phase, but from January it will weaken. We expect it to go into a weaker phase as the winter progresses,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Despite the absence of major snowfall, the Valley is reeling under intense cold conditions as night temperatures have dropped well below the freezing point across many areas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Srinagar recorded a low of \u20132.5\u00b0C, slipping further from \u20131.9\u00b0C the previous night.Shopian remained the coldest location in the Valley at \u20135\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Qazigund, the gateway town to Kashmir, registered \u20132.4\u00b0C, while Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded \u2014 3.1\u00b0C. Kokernag in south Kashmir reported a minimum of \u20130.6\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Tourist destinations such as Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded \u20132.2\u00b0C and 0\u00b0C, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>As the Valley moves deeper into winter, residents are preparing for harsher conditions in the coming weeks. MeT officials have advised the public to stay updated with regular forecasts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are monitoring all systems closely.
