{"id":91814,"date":"2025-10-29T10:29:03","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T04:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/?p=91814"},"modified":"2025-10-29T10:31:54","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T05:01:54","slug":"darbar-move-movement-of-hmvs-mmvs-barred-from-jmu-to-sgr-on-nov-1-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/29\/darbar-move-movement-of-hmvs-mmvs-barred-from-jmu-to-sgr-on-nov-1-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Darbar Move: Movement of HMVs, MMVs barred from Jmu to Sgr on Nov 1, 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"jeg_navbar_mobile_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jeg_navbar_mobile notransition jeg_sticky_nav\" data-mode=\"scroll\">\n<div class=\"jeg_mobile_bottombar jeg_mobile_midbar jeg_container normal\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"jeg_nav_row\">\n<div class=\"jeg_nav_col jeg_nav_center jeg_nav_grow\">\n<div class=\"item_wrap jeg_nav_aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"jeg_nav_item jeg_mobile_logo\">\n<div>Srinagar, Oct 29: The Traffic Police on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory restricting the upward movement of heavy and medium motor vehicles (HMVs\/MMVs) from Jammu towards Srinagar on November 1 and 2, in view of the annual Darbar Move.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\">According to an advisory, available with the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), there shall be no up-movement of goods carriers from Jammu towards Srinagar on the said dates, coinciding with the shifting of offices from Srinagar to Jammu for the winter season 2025\u201326.<\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\">However, the movement of light motor vehicles (LMVs) shall be allowed from both ends \u2014 from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa.<\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\">The advisory further said that the down-movement of HMVs\/MMVs from the Valley towards Jammu will be allowed in a regulated manner, keeping in view the movement of secretariat employees and official records from Srinagar to Jammu.<\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\">The Traffic Police also advised goods carrier operators transporting fresh perishables and livestock to adhere strictly to advisories issued from time to time and plan their journeys accordingly.<\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-title\">The Darbar Move \u2014 a biannual practice of shifting the J&amp;K government offices between Srinagar and Jammu was halted in 2021 but has been revived this year by the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference government this year\u2014(KNO)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, Oct 29: The Traffic Police on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory restricting the upward movement of heavy and medium motor vehicles (HMVs\/MMVs) from Jammu towards Srinagar on November 1 and 2, in view of the annual Darbar Move.
