Pays tributes to martyrs on Police Commemoration Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

Srinagar, Oct 21: Asserting that the entire country has acknowledged J&K Police\u2019s mettle and unflinching resolve in maintaining peace and security in the Union Territory, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday paid rich tributes to the Police martyrs.<\/p>\n

Addressing the Police Commemoration Day, LG Sinha, according to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) lauded the \u201cimmense\u201d sacrifices rendered by the police and recalled the 1,614 personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty. \u201cTheir sacrifices cannot be equated with money,\u201d he said, promising that the administration will ensure families of martyrs do not face difficulties.<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciate all the police personnel for working 24\u00d77 for maintaining peace,\u201d LG Sinha said, adding, \u201cJ&K Police have been at the forefront of operations on multiple fronts.\u201d
\nHe underscored the extraordinary commitment of police personnel, saying many have \u201cno holidays, no festivals \u2014 their duty is only their kartavya.\u201d<\/p>\n
