{"id":91625,"date":"2025-10-16T21:34:35","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T16:04:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/?p=91625"},"modified":"2025-10-16T21:34:35","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T16:04:35","slug":"kulgam-police-recover-large-quantity-of-narcotic-substances-in-tubji-frisal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/16\/kulgam-police-recover-large-quantity-of-narcotic-substances-in-tubji-frisal\/","title":{"rendered":"Kulgam Police Recover Large Quantity of Narcotic Substances in Tubji Frisal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>One Person Arrested Under NDPS Act<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Muneeb Nazeer<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kulgam, Oct 16 (JKNS): Police on Thursday seized a large quantity of narcotic substances from a residential house in Tubji Frisal area of Kulgam and arrested one person in this connection.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An official told news agency JKNS that Yaripora Police Station registered FIR No. 65\/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act against Tariq Ahmad Malik, son of Mohammad Ismail Malik, a resident of Tubji Frisal, after receiving credible information about storage of narcotic substances at his house.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He said a police team led by IC PP Frisal, SI Rayees Ahmad, along with SHO Yaripora Inspector Sajad Khanday, carried out searches at the accused\u2019s residence in presence of an Executive Magistrate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the operation, police recovered 1 kg 938 grams of charas powder, 4 kg 824 grams of charas leaves, 13 kg 31 grams of poppy straw and \u20b922,000 cash, the official said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe accused was arrested on the spot and further investigation has been set into motion to unearth possible links of the accused with drug trafficking networks,\u201d the official added.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Police said that in recent months, continuous efforts by Yaripora Police and PP Frisal have led to multiple arrests of habitual drug peddlers, which has been widely appreciated by locals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Authorities urged the public to extend cooperation and report any suspicious activities to help curb the menace of drug trafficking in the region.
