Radhakrishnan, fielded by the ruling NDA, has been elected as the Vice President of India, defeating the opposition\u2019s joint nominee Justice B. Sudershan Reddy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to Returning Officer P.C. Mody as per news agency Kashmir News Corner &#8212; KNC, Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha, Radhakrishnan polled 452 first preference votes, while Reddy managed 300. The results were declared soon after the counting concluded on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Vice Presidential poll was conducted earlier in the day, with members of both Houses of Parliament casting their votes.
