Srinagar, Aug 28: Advisor to Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani on Thursday said that the flood mitigation plan prepared post 2014-floods in Jammu and Kashmir has not been followed.<\/p>\n

Talking to the media persons, Advisor to CM, as per the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that a flood mitigation plan was prepared after the 2014 floods, but it was not followed.<\/p>\n

He said that the Chief Minister is himself assessing the mitigation measures and that a renewed plan will be prepared to tackle the flood crisis here.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cSeveral issues related to the encroachment along the flood channel and other related places will also be looked into,\u201d he said while replying to a query.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Advisor said that the opposition must play a role of constructive opposition. He said that the opposition has been contacted multiple times, but they didn\u2019t join hands as they are happy to play only cheap politics.<\/p>\n
