Budgam, July 29, KNT: Two vital roads in central Kashmir\u2019s Budgam district, Khangripora\u2013Tosamaidan and Rawatpora\u2013Khag, are in an alarming state of disrepair, causing daily hardship for locals, students, and travelers. Despite their importance for tourism, education, and sports, residents say no serious action has been taken to restore them.<\/p>\n
The Khangripora\u2013Tosamaidan Road, a crucial route connecting over 20 villages to the scenic tourist spot Tosamaidan, is riddled with potholes and uneven stretches. \u201cChildren are late to college, vehicles get damaged, and travel has become risky. The administration is silent,\u201d locals complained.<\/p>\n
Equally neglected is the Rawatpora\u2013Khag Road, which serves areas home to many national-level sportspersons. “Talented youth can\u2019t access training facilities due to the road\u2019s condition. Even basic travel is a struggle,” said a resident.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe feel abandoned by past and present governments,\u201d said Muzafar Ahmad, a local resident.<\/p>\n
