Srinagar; 17 July : The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Regional Office J&K, today organised a day-long orientation programme for empanelled cultural troupes and individual artists. The event was held at the Conference Hall of the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Office, Rajbagh, Srinagar.<\/p>\n

The objective of the orientation was to familiarise artists with various aspects of public communication and to strengthen their role in CBC\u2019s outreach initiatives aimed at promoting central government schemes and welfare programmes across Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Shri Vikram Sahay, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh was the Chief Guest. In his address, Shri Sahay emphasised the power of traditional communication tools, saying \u201ctraditional communication remains one of the most powerful tools to connect with the masses. Local artists and their art forms carry a natural resonance with the community, making messaging more impactful.\u201d<\/p>\n
