Srinagar, Mar 13, KNT: PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti accused the BJP of deliberately stoking communal tensions to divert attention from pressing public issues. While talking to reporters, Mehbooba Mufti criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, claiming that his actions have disturbed communal harmony and spread hatred among communities. \u201cInstead of addressing issues of unemployment, inflation, and governance failures, BJP leaders are invoking religion and harassing Muslims to shift focus from real problems,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The PDP chief asserted that divisive politics benefits the BJP, allowing it to consolidate votes by exploiting religious sentiments. \u201cIt suits them to create religious discord while ignoring the economic distress, rising unemployment, and growing frustration among youth,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

She further warned that such polarization tactics could have long-term consequences on the social fabric of the country. \u201cIndia has always been a diverse and inclusive nation, but the BJP\u2019s divisive politics is pushing the country towards instability,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n
