{"id":86535,"date":"2025-02-22T22:55:47","date_gmt":"2025-02-22T17:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/?p=86535"},"modified":"2025-02-22T22:55:47","modified_gmt":"2025-02-22T17:25:47","slug":"jkpsc-notice-ends-postponement-speculation-despite-education-ministers-assurance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.khushalekashmir.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/22\/jkpsc-notice-ends-postponement-speculation-despite-education-ministers-assurance\/","title":{"rendered":"JKPSC Notice Ends Postponement Speculation Despite Education Minister\u2019s Assurance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Instructs Candidates on Timely Exam Arrival<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, Feb 22 (JKNS): Amid growing demands for the postponement of the JKPSC exam due to its clash with AFCAT, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued a notice instructing aspirants to reach examination venues well in advance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The notice has has ended speculation about a possible postponement, despite Education Minister Sakina Itoo\u2019s assurance that the issue was being examined.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In an official notification issued by the Controller of Examinations, JKPSC, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, it was reiterated that the J&amp;K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024, notified via Notification No. 04-PSC(DR-P) of 2024 dated 26.07.2024, is scheduled for February 23, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The notification directs candidates to reach the examination venue at least two hours before the start of the first session (GS-I) by 08:00 AM and one hour before the second session (GS-II) by 01:00 PM.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It further instructs aspirants to carry their admit card and a valid proof of identity, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport. Additionally, candidates are prohibited from bringing mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, headphones, Bluetooth devices, or any unauthorized\/incriminating materials inside the examination center.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, JKPSC Chairman Arun Kumar Choudhary had told JKNS, &#8220;Dates have been scheduled. We don&#8217;t have time; it is not possible to change the date, and all arrangements have been finalized. Now students have the choice to appear for one exam in which they are comfortable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>His remarks drawn criticism from aspirants, who argue that the government should not force them to choose between two crucial exams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the issuance of the official notice, speculation regarding the postponement of the exam has come to an end. However, many students continue to urge authorities for rescheduling, fearing a tough choice between JKPSC and AFCAT.
