New Delhi, Jan 31 (KNO): Asserting that situation in Jammu and Kashmir has changed after the abrogation of Article 370, President Droupadi Murmu on Friday described train to Kashmir as government\u2019s major achievement.<\/p>\n

Addressing a joint sitting of Parliament, marking the beginning of this year\u2019s Budget Session, President Murmu, according to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, \u201cThere have been significant changes in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last six months, the government has made record investments in future infrastructure. I am happy to inform you that the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project has been completed, and now the country will be connected by railway from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Under this project, the world\u2019s highest rail bridge has been constructed over the Chenab River,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

On national security, the President said, \u201cThe government has taken historic steps to protect the country’s borders and ensure internal security.\u201d<\/p>\n
