Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered Contraband substances from their possession.<\/p>\n
A police party of Police Post Putkha led by IC PP Putkha SI Mohammad Ayoub under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS and SHO PS Tarzoo Insp. Sajad Ahamd, during naka checking at Trumgund Crossing apprehended two persons identified as:
\n1. Aamir Farooq Dar S\/O Farooq Ahmad Dar R\/O Ningli Sopore and
\n2. Javaid Ahmad Gujri @Diya Goor S\/O Ghulam Nabi Gujri R\/O Jamai Qadeem Sopore<\/p>\n
During their search, 20 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from their possession.<\/p>\n
In this regard, case FIR No. 121\/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and investigation has been initiated.<\/p>\n
We urge the common masses that if you witness drug peddling or any other crime anywhere near you, feel free to contact nearest police establishment or dial 112. General public requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society.
