The child, a primary class student, passed away at the Super Specialty Hospital, three days after the horrific incident.<\/p>\n<p>Eyewitnesses recounted the chilling scene, saying the aunt hurled the child from the footbridge in Abi Guzar area. Instead of falling into the river, the child hit a concrete pier, sustaining critical injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Locals had rushed to rescue the unconscious child, bleeding profusely, while restraining the aunt, who attempted to flee.<\/p>\n<p>Medical Superintendent Dr. Tasneem Showkat confirmed the child&#8217;s admission and operation at SMHS Hospital before being transferred to the Super-specialty Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rubina Shaheen told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the child was brought in an unconscious state with polytrauma injuries, and despite medical efforts, she passed away.<\/p>\n<p>Jammu and Kashmir Police filed a case at Kothi Bagh Police Station, taking the aunt into custody. Preliminary investigations suggest the aunt suffers from depression and mental health issues, prompting psychiatric evaluation.
