Srinagar, Nov 26: Prime Minister Narendera Modi Tuesday said that it was the energy given by the Indian constitution that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed implementation of Dr B R Ambedkar\u2019s constitution. He said it was for the first time today, J&K observed constitution day.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndian is going through a major transformation. We are marching ahead with our goals. The Indian constitution is our torch bearer. It was because of this constitution that every citizen of the country is chasing their dreams. This constitution has become our guiding force,\u201d PM Modi said addressing a gathering at Constitution Day celebrations in Supreme Court, New Delhi, as per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO).<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister said: \u201cWe have seen an emergency in the country but our constitution has faced this challenge that arose before democracy. It\u2019s the power of the constitution that today, in J&K, Babasahib Ambedkar\u2019s constitution is fully implemented. Today, it was the first time J&K celebrated constitution day.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said every citizen things about Vikshit Bharat. \u201cVikshit Bhara means dignity of life, quality of life, and social justice. That can be achieved by following the constitution,\u201d PM Modi said.<\/p>\n
He said it was because of the country\u2019s great constitution; all challenges were met. \u201cThe constitution acted as our power and strength,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Earlier, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also extended greetings for Constitution Day to the people of the Union Territory. In a post on X, LG wrote, \u201cGreetings on Constitution Day. Tributes to the makers of our Constitution.
