Srinagar, Oct 14 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday invited Chief Minister-designate Omar Abdullah for swearing-in ceremony along with his council of minister at SKICC here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pleased to invite you to form and lead the Government of Jammu and Kashmir,\u201d reads a letter by Sinha to Omar Abdullah.
\n\u201cAs separately settled, I shall administer Oath of Office and Secrecy to you, and to those recommended by you for induction as members of your Council of Ministers, at SKICC, Srinagar on 16 October, 2024 at 11:30 a.m,\u201d the letter, circulated on social media as per GNS, reads further.<\/p>\n
\u201cI take this opportunity to wish you a highly productive tenure and success in your endeavours in the best interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,\u201d the letter added as per GNS.<\/p>\n
Sinha received letter from Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on October 11, informing that Omar has been unanimously elected as Leader of the Legislature Party.<\/p>\n
The Lieutenant Governor also received a letter from Tariq Hameed Karra, President, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, G. N. Malik, Secretary, CPI(M), Pankaj Kumar Gupta, National Secretary, Aam Aadmi Party and Independent MLAs\u2014Payare Lal Sharma, Satish Sharma, Ch. Mohd. Akram, Dr. Rameshwar Singh and Muzafar Iqbal Khan, offering support in the formation of Government led by Omar.<\/p>\n
