Srinagar, September 15(GNS) Police on Sunday said that it have launched a formal investigation following a distressing incident involving a woman from Kakapora, who was allegedly forced to consume a poisonous substance by her husband.<\/p>\n
In a handout to GNS, According to the victim’s statement recorded earlier today, the incident took place after her husband served her a divorce notice a few days ago. The woman was immediately provided with medical assistance, and her statement has become central to the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
The spokesman further stated that in addition to the victim’s account, a written application was also received today from her brother, Mudasir Ahmad Pinchu, R\/o Khanabal Anantnag (currently residing in Batengo), naming the following individuals as responsible for the incident: 1.Manzoor Ahmad Fashu, S\/o Gh Mohd Fashu 2. Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, Son In Law Gh Mohd Fashu 3. Nawaz Ahmad Dar S\/o Abdul Rahem Dar, all residents of Kakapora.<\/p>\n
Based on this information, Pulwama Police have taken cognizance of the case and registered FIR No. 32\/2024 under sections 85, 109, and 49 of the BNS Act. The investigation has been set in motion, although no arrests have been made as of yet, he said.<\/p>\n
