Srinagar, Aug 23 (KB): As a political development, Abdul Rahim Rather, the former MLA and District President of Apni Party in Anantnag, announced his resignation from the basic membership of the party on Friday.<\/p>\n
Rather confirmed his decision during a press conference, stating, from today, I have no more affiliation with the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party.<\/p>\n
He said the manifesto of the party was not to his liking and produced a problem for him to carry it before the people voting for him. \u201cI am not comfortable showing this manifesto to the people, so I will not contest the assembly elections on the Apni Party ticket,\u201d he said as per the news agency\u2014Kashmir Bulletin (KB).<\/p>\n
