KULGAM, AUGUST 19: The Deputy Commissioner\/District Election Officer (DEO), Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today convened a meeting with representatives of political parties at the mini-secretariat Kulgam.<\/p>\n
The meeting was aimed to sensitize political parties about the rules and regulations governing the election, ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, a detailed orientation was given regarding the election process.<\/p>\n
The DEO stressed the importance of strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and urged political parties to comply with the guidelines established by the ECI.<\/p>\n
He also requested them to apply online for permissions through the Suvidha Candidates app and reach out to the 24×7 Control Room with any grievances through the toll-free number 1950.<\/p>\n
SSP, Sahil Sarangal also briefed the meeting about the arrangements put in place to conduct the elections peacefully in the district.<\/p>\n
The DC and SSP assured absolutely free and fair elections in the district.<\/p>\n
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to uphold democratic values and ensure a smooth conduct of the upcoming election.<\/p>\n
