Pahalgam, Jun 25 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday reviewed security and logistical arrangements for the annual Amarnath Yatra in Pahalgam, saying that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure a safe pilgrimage.
Speaking with reporters after chairing a high-level review meeting, the LG, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said Jammu and Kashmir administration, security forces and various government agencies are working in coordination to make the Yatra successful.
He said the meeting reviewed preparations related to security, pilgrim facilities and other essential services and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made so far.
Sinha said devotees from across the country can undertake the pilgrimage with confidence as all departments are working in close coordination to facilitate a smooth and secure journey.
The LG also said the people of Kashmir are ready to welcome the pilgrims and would extend full support during the annual religious event.
The 57-day Amarnath Yatra will commence on July 3 and will conclude on August 28 amid heightened security measures—(KNO)
