Srinagar, Aug 1: BSF jawan posted in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, went missing from the battalion headquarters during the late hours of Thursday, July 31, sources said.
A massive search operation was launched to trace Sugam Choudhary, a member of the 60th Battalion stationed at Panthachowk. However, despite extensive efforts in nearby areas, he remains untraceable.
A missing report has been lodged, and further investigation is underway.
The incident comes amid an intensified anti-terror operation by security forces across various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam.–(India Today)
